Today I am thankful for the wonderful weather we continue to have. Sunny, not too cold, days that allow us to get outside and play. We really enjoyed our time outside today.

Today I Am Thankful For......
It is November, the month of Thanksgiving. A month to remember our blessings. I am going to try to post something I am thankful for everyday this month.
Today I am thankful for the wonderful weather we continue to have. Sunny, not too cold, days that allow us to get outside and play. We really enjoyed our time outside today.

Howdy, Cowboy!
Jadon was a cowboy for Halloween. I think his outfit turned out perfect. The bollo tie and the belt buckle really make the outfit. They are also very, very special. Jadon's Great Grandpa Carol made both of those for Matt when he was little. I think it is pretty cool that Jadon gets to wear them now. Carol and Bea would have really gotten a kick out of that!
I think that Jadon was a little confused at first. Why were we knocking on strangers doors? It did not take long for Jadon to figure out that he got candy every time someone answered the door. It helped that big brother, Jake, was showing him the ropes. He never said trick or treat but he was ready to take any candy that was offered. It ended up being great therapy for Righty too. Every time that Jadon had to take candy he would switch his pumpkin over to Righty so he could take the candy with Lefty. He did a great job considering the pumpkin started getting a little heavy after awhile.
Jadon lasted about an hour and then he was getting a little grumpy. After we were done making the rounds around town we went to visiting some other family that wanted to see Jadon all dressed up in his cowboy gear. I think Jadon had a pretty good Halloween!

The Cowboys New Ride
Jadon is going to be a cowboy for Halloween. I thought it was perfect since he loves to wear his cowboy boots. We rounded up a hat, bandana, vest, flannel shirt. A friend of mine made Jadon a belt for his little buckle. It even has his name on it. However this cowboy was without his trusty partner until Grandma came to the rescue! Thanks to Grandma, Jadon has a new ride! He just loves his new pony and it is a pony....the song it sings says so. Oh...this is not just a pony head on a stick. If you press one ear it says "I like my hair brushed", makes horse sounds, and clomping sounds. Press the other ear and you get this song which I keep finding myself singing-
"I'm a pretty pony, clippity clop, clippity clop.
Such a pretty pony, clippity clop, clippity clop.
I like to have my coat brushed underneath the old oak tree.
Let's run and jump, we'll have lots of fun.
So come along with me"
I think this is to the tune of Frosty. It is definitely a Christmas tune. Lord help me!!
Obviously Jadon loves it. Just look at that smile!
I am just wondering one thing.....How long do you think those store batteries are gonna last? LOL!
