Scrappin' Sunday

Photobucket
Today the potty training continues....trying to get some things done while still be able to drop everything and rush to the potty.  Jadon is going pantless for a few days while we get the hang of this.  Bad enough I keep having to do loads of undies.  Don't need anymore stuff to wash!  Plus I read they really hate the feeling of pee running down the legs. It will all be worth it in a few days! I just know it!

Here are some scrappin' projects I worked on this week. The first one is the Layout A Month project that Simple As That is doing. Here is my January 2012 layout.

I love made a layout using an amazing template from Fiddle Dee Dee Designs! Love that more designers are making templates for those of us that love Storybook Creator. Thinking that I will order a print of this and get it framed for the wall.

Fiddle Dee Dee Designs also had a Facebook Timeline Template freebie on her fan page. I played around with that and made this for my Facebook profile.

Then I made myself a February Desktop for my laptop. Love the Capture Life February kit from Tracie Stroud!

Wish us luck with the potty training!!

Scrappin' Sunday

For the first time in awhile I got a layout done! Been so busy making the menu planner and education cube printables that I was not scrappin'.

Photobucket

I used Tracie Stroud's Sunshine In My Soul kit for this layout.

I also thought I would share with you the February page of my perpetual b-day calendar I have been working on for my mom.   I am really happy with how it is turning out.

Hope you had a relaxing weekend!  Matt smoked two pork shoulders to make pulled pork.  We used some for our dinner tonight and will freeze the rest for later meals.  He figures if he is going to take the time (all day) to do one might as well do two!  My dad came out to have dinner with us.  My mom unfortunately got called into work so she did not make it.  I sent home leftovers for her.  Preparing myself for another busy week like last week.

Scrappin' Sunday

Ugh! I am going to make this a short post today! My neck started hurting around noon today and has just continued to get worse. It started out like a stiff neck on one side. Almost like I slept on it wrong but I was fine when I woke up. It just won't go away. Tried tylenol earlier in the day. Just took some Aleve. Hoping that helps.

I made menu planner this week with my scrapbook software and I also updated a few things around the blog.
Here is the template I made (if any Storybook Creator users want the .page file let me know)
Then I created my menu planner.
If you like my version you can download it HERE!

I used this kit for the menu planner and the updates for the blog.  Such a cute kit!

My favorite thing today was dinner at my parents house.  Had a nice time visiting with them and lots of yummy food!

Scrappin' Sunday

I woke up this morning to sounds in the kitchen (fridge opening and closing, utensil drawer opening, stuff clanging on the counter.  This is what I found when I got to the kitchen......

Jadon was peeling his own Cutie!  He had it almost done by the time I got out there and he finished it without my help.  This is something that does not come easy for Jadon since it requires the use of both hands.  He did a great job and I was very proud that he never asked for help!  He knew he could do it and he did!

I have really been enjoying this weekend.  I love days off with nothing planned!  Just hanging out at home is the best!  I also decided that it could be a pajama day.  Jadon looked to comfy and warm.  We had no plans to go anywhere so I just let him stay that way.  So today was a pretty layed back relaxing day.

Snug as a bug in a rug while watching cartoons.

Omelets made by the hubby two days in a row!!

"Playing" (I use the term loosely) his sister Gameboy Advanced

I spent a lot of time scrapbooking today.  I found this great challenge.

She uses a specific template and fills it up with her favorite captured memories at the end of each month.  Then at the end of the year she has a great collection of memories from the year.  She then goes back to review her blog and adds a second page of journaling to go with each layout.  I think I can handle one layout a month! She provides a download link for the layout she created for this year but unfortunately it was for use with photoshop.  I spend part of the day recreating it in Storybook so I can follow along with this challenge this year!  In the process I also learned how to make my own templates and share them using Storybook today!  If you use Storybook and would like the .page  version of the 2012 A Month In Photos Challenge template send me a message!

I also started making a perpetual calendar or birthday calendar.  My mom asked me to make her one and I would also like one for myself.  It took quite awhile just to set up how I wanted the layout for each month to look (they will have be the same) so I did not get very far on making them pretty.  I did get January done though!

If anyone of my friends or family would like to create their own b-day calendar using the page let me know and I will send it to you!!  I will post others as I get them done!  Now that I have the layout all figured out the rest will be easy!
